Working group on cancer

The Working Group on Cancer is a platform where EUREGHA members — regional representatives and experts — exchange knowledge, best practices, information, and expertise on cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, and survivorship. The Working Group aims both to facilitate knowledge exchange among members and to strengthen EUREGHA’s advocacy, policy, and project activities at the EU level.

For 2025, the Working Group will focus on the following priorities:

  • Supporting the development of Comprehensive Cancer Care Networks and EU-accredited cancer centers, as well as the EU Cancer Mission Hubs.
  • Promoting the use of AI and health data to enhance cancer primary prevention, screening and early detection
  • Strengthening survivorship care and palliative care models to improve patient quality of life

Dates:

  • Constitutive Meeting – 26th February 2025
  • Spring Meeting – 23rd April 2025
  • Autumn Meeting – TBC

Through these activities, the Working Group aims to contribute to a more equitable, innovative, and patient-centred approach to cancer control across European regions.
