CoR Interregional Group on Health and Wellbeing on “Active and Healthy Ageing”

17 June 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The next meeting of the European Committee of the Regions’ Interregional Group on Health and Well-being will take place on Monday 17 June at 9h00-10h00 at the European Committee of the Regions building, room JDE 3253. The topic of the meeting is

“Active and Healthy Ageing”

In recent years, Europe has faced significant demographic changes affecting the ageing population with serious impacts on society and the economy. Indeed, this trend is deemed to be one of the most significant social and demographic challenges of the 21st century. In particular, in the field of healthcare, the introduction of policies regarding “Active and Healthy Ageing” would be crucial to create environments and opportunities that enable people to be and do what they value throughout their lives. Against this background, the meeting aims to discuss the challenges and the progress made in implementing “Active and Healthy Ageing” strategies across the EU while highlighting the regional experiences and viewpoints on this matter. Moreover, during the meeting, our Chair Birgitta Sacrédeus will present her opinion on “Active and Healthy Ageing” (CDR 15/2019).

We would like to remind to the CoR members that being an informal meeting only the NAT CoR members would receive the reimbursement for attending.
