2021 was a truly enriching year for EUREGHA. In a Europe designing its way toward recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, it was the right time for our association to contribute to shaping the change and building the “new normal”, with sustainability and resilience at the core of European health and care systems. Always, of course, with the same overarching goal: improving citizens’ health and wellbeing in all regions.

Throughout the year, EUREGHA has invested all its energies in bringing regions’ perspectives and knowledge to the EU health policy debate, strengthening its visibility and partnerships with EU institutions and relevant stakeholders, and following actively and closely the path traced by the EU towards a European Health Union.

The Activity Report 2021, presented during our General Assembly on 8 and 9 June, guides you through the network’s achievements, activities, and outcomes in the last year, as well as its participation in EU-funded projects and EU health networks. You will also be able to discover more about our main advocacy activities and regarding our work with the CoR Interregional Group on Health and Well-being.

Among the topics featured in the report we can highlight: cancer, ageing, value-based healthcare, eHealth and digital transformation, cross-border healthcare, procurement, mental health, and much more.

“Following the path traced by the EU towards a European Health Union, throughout the year, EUREGHA has invested its energies and resources in bringing the views of the regions on crucial issues, such as value-based healthcare, cancer, active and healthy ageing, collection and use of data, digital transition, cross-border cooperation, and mental health.

The network was able to improve its visibility and better position itself in the EU arena by supporting new partnerships and enhancing existing collaborations. This Activity Report will list all EUREGHA’s achievements as a basis for following actions in the upcoming years.”
