It is a pleasure to announce that EUREGHA was chosen as a new member organisation of the eHealth Stakeholder Group. EUREGHA will support the European Commission in developments of actions for the digital transformation of health and care in the European Union. The lead DG is DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT) and the mandate runs from 2020 until 2022.
All the organizations selected to work with the European Commission are associations or umbrella organisations linked to the European Union and represent patients, healthcare professionals, researchers and the Health Tech industry. Find all the names of the organisations here.
The main role of the eHealth Stakeholder Group lies in providing advice and opinions to develop policy and implement the Communication on enabling the digital transformation of health and care in the Digital Single Market. Topics vary from health data, digital health services, cybersecurity for health and care data, digital tools for citizen empowerment and person-centred care.
Within the eHealth Stakeholder Group, EUREGHA will be represented by Cesar Velasco Munoz, Vice-Chair of EUREGHA and Director at AquAS. With a strong background in healthcare research, value-based healthcare approaches, and passion for health innovation, we are confident he can bring in the regional aspect within the discussion.
EUREGHA is truly looking forward to strengthening the collaboration with the European Commission and 39 other associations and organizations. Find more information on the eHealth stakeholder group here.
