On Thursday 5 December from 8h00 to 9h00, a meeting will take place organized by the European Committee of the Regions’ Interregional Group on Health and Well-Being at the European Committee of the Regions building, room JDE 70. The topic of the meeting is
The State of Health in the EU is a two-year initiative carried out by the European Commission providing policy makers, health practitioners, and interest groups with factual, comparative data and insights into health and health systems in the EU Member States. The cycle is developed in collaboration with the European Observatory on Health Systems Policies and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
As both the State of the Health in the EU’s 2019 Companion Report and the 2019 Country Health Profiles will be made public as of 28 November, this meeting aims to discuss the five big trends in the transformation of our health systems and the key findings from the Country Health profiles.
During the meeting we will have the pleasure to host as speaker:
- Mr Sylvain Giraud, Head of Unit of Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, European Commission
- Mr Willy Palm, Senior Advisor, European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies.
