The Health Working Group of the European Commission’s DG REGIO Harnessing Talent Platform has recently launched two collection of inputs, focusing on:
- Good/promising practices on skills development
- Working conditions of healthcare professionals
As co-leader of the Health Workgroup, EUREGHA is happy to share these opportunities and call regional and EU stakeholders in the filed to gather evidence and qualitative data to enrich the HTP analysis. The results of these two collections will be used to build concrete catalogues and toolkit to help regional policymakers shape better policies to address current challenges in the health sector. Your contribution would be extremely valuable to enrich our work and help us shape the HTP outputs.

- Good Practice Collection for Green/Digital/Interprofessional Skills Development in the Healthcare Workforce
This survey seeks to collect specific relevant initiatives / actions / tools / courses / projects related to the development of green / digital / soft / inter-professionals skills within the medical sector.
Target audience: all stakeholders involved in training and education of healthcare professionals (professional categories, training providers, etc.)

- Survey “Improving service models and working conditions”
The second survey aims to collect both qualitative and quantitative data regarding challenges related to service models and working conditions in the healthcare sector in order to better understand the weight of the “push-and-pull” factors identified.
Target audience: Health care professionals (current / retired / future healthcare professionals – public or private) only and takes less than 10 minutes.

More information about the HTP
The HTP was established in 2023 as a platform dedicated to building knowledge and facilitating the exchange of experiences in the framework of the Talent Booster Mechanism initiative. Its primary objective is to support regions in addressing the consequences of demographic changes and mitigating challenges related to the decline of tertiary-educated populations throughout the EU, especially the 46 regions currently facing a talent development trap. The HTP ensures that affected regions have access to the necessary guidance, information, and knowledge to develop tailored and comprehensive strategies for training, attracting and retaining talent.
