It involves systems thinking to ensure equitable access and sustainability at a macro level\, organisational leadership to drive innovation and integrate digital tools at the meso level\, and empowering individuals to take charge of their health at the micro level. This not only strengthens the bond between members but also adds opportunities for demonstrating best practices in real life and witnessing how healthcare systems in different regions are organized. The AGA is an event only for EUREGHA members.  \nOn the first day\, participants will have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the Finspång Primary Care Centre and the Centre of Medical Image Science and Visualization at the Linköping University Hospital. On day two\, members will formally meet for the General Assembly\, where we will look together at the 2022 results\, 2023 plans and Board elections\, and shape together the short and long-term strategy of the network for the years to come. \nEUREGHA members are going to receive the detailed agenda\, further event logistics\, activities\, hotel suggestions and other further details in the coming weeks via e-mail. \nIf you have any questions or comments\, please do not hesitate to contact the EURGHA secretariat. DESCRIPTION:Lessons from the crisis: how a value-based approach can make health systems more resilient\n Thursday 17 June\, 16.00 – 17.30 CEST \nThe importance of resilient health systems has been put to the fore by the COVID-19 crisis\, and the European institutions have taken several measures to improve the crisis preparedness of health systems at EU and Member State levels. But how is health system resilience currently defined in the health policy discussion\, and are we interpreting this broadly enough? \nThe European Alliance for Value in Health argues that we should not only focus on measuring resources and capacity building needed for pandemic preparedness\, but also look at health system resilience through a broader scope. Making health systems more value-based and person-centred would not only make them better equipped to deal with health challenges in normal times\, but also make them more resilient during a future health crisis. But how is health system resilience currently defined in the health policy discussion\, and are we interpreting this broadly enough? \nThe European Alliance for Value in Health argues that we should not only focus on measuring resources and capacity building needed for pandemic preparedness\, but also look at health system resilience through a broader scope. Making health systems more value-based and person-centred would not only make them better equipped to deal with health challenges in normal times\, but also make them more resilient during a future health crisis. DESCRIPTION:“Foresee\, adapt\, transform – Building the European health and social care systems of the future”\n\nWe are glad to invite you to EUREGHA’s high-level annual conference on 9 December 2020. While the COVID-19 pandemic is still on-going\, many will continue to respond to the immediate needs of the crisis. It is\, however\, time to look beyond the immediate response and consider how we must approach long-term recovery and to start building the health and social care systems of the future. \nHealth and care systems are complex and to ensure their profound transformation\, we need to work parallel on several matters: healthcare workforce\, community carers\, medical products\, infrastructures\, technology\, governance\, and leadership. \nRegional and local health authorities have been working on the transformation of the health and social care systems over the years to promote this shift towards a sustainable approach that leaves no-one behind. Not ensuring mental health promotion early on can place a great burden on both the individual and the overall society. Social and emotional skills are therefore an important part of mental health promotion and schools have a fundamental role to play. Academic research shows that that Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programmes help children and have long-term results on the social wellbeing and academic achievements of children. It has also been demonstrated that students exposed to SEL activities feel safer and more connected to schools. Moreover\, they build good working habits\, social skills and stronger relationships with peers and teachers. All these factors contribute to the promotion of mental wellbeing in the young. \nHowever\, several shortcomings have been identified in using these programmes\, which may compromise their sustainability and long-term effects. \nAgainst this background\, the Horizon 2020 BOOST project aims to create an innovative approach to strengthen social and emotional skills among children and young people in school\, as to promote mental health and wellbeing. The overall aim of this project is to develop\, implement\, and test a new SEL-based population approach to promote mental health and wellbeing in primary school children. \nCOVID-19 has reshuffled the lives of many people and the effect on young children’s wellbeing should not be forgotten. As it is time to re-discuss the importance of SEL programmes and the overall wellbeing of young children\, the BOOST consortium released a policy brief on the systematic work with policies to promote mental wellbeing among children in schools. The brief summarises some of the preliminary findings and lessons learned from the EU H2020 project BOOST.
