SUMMARY:CoR Interregional Group on Health and Well-being "The State of Health in the EU: what to bring home?"
DESCRIPTION:EUREGHA – the reference network of European Regional and Local Health Authorities – is pleased to invite you to the meeting organised by the Committee of the Regions’ Interregional Group on Health and Wellbeing: \n“The State of Health in the EU: what to bring home?”\nFriday\, 22 April 2022\, 14:30–15:30 CET \nCOVID-19 has put unprecedented pressure on healthcare systems worldwide for the past two years\, exacerbating and highlighting structural weaknesses. This context required a massive and rapid effort to adapt our strategies and responses to new challenges\, which have been overcome more or less successfully depending on the solutions and the different national contexts. \nThe State of Health in the EU published last December represents a key source for fostering a debate on the organisation of healthcare systems\, analysing their challenges and responses\, and tracing a path towards building resilient health systems both in normal times and in view of future health crises. To this aim\, a multi-level dialogue is necessary. \nThis meeting will be a unique opportunity to foster a deep policy debate on the current performance of national healthcare systems in the EU and exchange opinions between the European institutions and stakeholders on tracing a European path towards resilience. \nSpeakers include:\n\nFrancesca Colombo\, Director\, OECD Health Division\nMaya Matthews\, Head of Unit\, Performance of national health systems\, DG SANTE\n\nRegistrations are open until 20 April 2022. The EUREGHA Secretariat will provide the link closer to the event to those registered.
