On 2 December, EUREGHA organised its Annual High Level Conference. This year, the theme was “Integrated Care in Practice” and it gathered speakers from the European Commission, World Health Organisation and the International Foundation for Integrated Care. Several regional and local models of integrated care were also presented and discussed.

The two key note presentations were given by Loukianos Gatzoulis from DG SANCO and by Viktoria Stein from the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) European Office. Mr Gatzoulis focused on the achievements of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP-AHA) related to integrated care. Ms Stein on the other hand, highlighted the work of the WHO on integrated care and discussed enablers and barriers for implementing integrated care.

Several regional and local presentations highlighted the innovative models of integrated care that are being implemented in EUREGHA members Region Västra Götaland (SE), Region Skåne (SE), Emilia Romagna (IT), Catalonia (ES), Veneto (IT) and Scotland (UK).
