The World Health Organisation (WHO) issued a new publication entitled "Scaling up health service delivery: from pilot innovations to policies and programmes" centred on ways to increase the impact of health service innovations that have been tested in pilot or experimental projects. It addresses the failure to expand successful pilot projects in order to benefit larger populations. Using examples from Africa, Asia and Latin America, the book presents a conceptual framework for scaling up pilot projects. For further information, please visit the WHO website.
