- “Using Best Practices to champion health”, 7 October, 16.45 – 18.30, Committee of Regions
To reduce the mounting pressure on healthcare systems it is paramount that regions, Member States and the EU concur to invest in the education and health of the EU citizens. Investing in health entails a major focus on both health promotion and prevention. In this perspective, more economic resources should be addressed to promote “healthy lifestyles” and the health literacy of the EU citizens as well as the early detection of major illnesses conducive to chronic diseases. This seminar will therefore explore some best practices implemented at the EU, regional and local level in the health promotion and prevention fields.
